Grading Policy

Major Grades - Minimum of 3 per six weeks 60%
- Exams
- Cumulative assignments
Daily Grades - Minimum of 9 per six weeks 40%
- Quizzes
- In-class assignments
- Participation
- Professionalism
  - Students will begin each six weeks with a 100 for Professionalism. Violations, included but not limited to profanity, tardiness, inattentiveness, talking out of turn, being on the computers when not approved, and being on websites not related to class material, will result in a deduction of points. Each violation and the amount of points lost will be documented.

Reassessment Policy

Per ASCISD policy, a student will have the opportunity to redo an assignment or retake a major exam for which the student received a failing grade (below 70). In order to qualify for reassessment, the following criteria must be met:

The grade on the original assignment or exam must be below 70.
The student must request to retest in a timely manner.
The student must attend at least one tutoring session after the failing grade is received.
The reassessment must take place within 5 school days after the failing grade is received.

The maximum grade that can be received on a reassessment is 70.

Late Work Policy

Late work will not be accepted more than 3 days after the due date. As professionals in the business world, you are expected to meet all deadlines unless a reasonable accommodation is needed. If you have an extenuating circumstance that will possibly cause you to have to submit an assignment after the due date, please speak with me about this BEFORE the assignment is due.

Late work penalties are as follows:

1 day late: -10 points
2 days late: -20 points
3 days late: -30 points
